Dr. Mayur is a Professor and Head of the Department at Dept of Chemistry. He completed B.Pharm in 1991 and Master's in Pharmacy in Medicinal Chemistry in 1995. He completed his PhD in 2004 from University of Mysore. He was awarded BOSYCAST Fellowship in 2006 from Department of Science and Technology to undergo advanced training in cancer research at VU Medical Center, Amsterdam, Netherlands for 1 year. He has been awarded research grants from funding agencies like ICMR, UGC and recently he has been awarded a fast track project worth 27 Lakhs from DST. His main area of research is on reversing multidrug resistance in cancer cells. He has produced 2 PhD students and one student has submitted his PhD thesis and has guided more than 16 Master's thesis in Medicinal Chemistry. He has over 20 publications in some reputed journals in Medicinal Chemistry. Dr. Yergeri has 16 years of teaching and 2 years of Industrial experience.
Dr. Amrita Bajaj
Dr. Amrita Bajaj has joined us a HOD, Department of Pharmaceutics & Adjunct Professor. She is former Professor of Pharmaceutics, C.U.Shah College of Pharmacy and Director, Centre for CURIE-DST, SNDT Women's University Mumbai. A gold Medalist from Mumbai University, she obtained her Masters Degree and Ph.D (Tech) from Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai and SNDT University respectively. She is the recipient of "Best Teacher award" from Maharashtra government for the year 2002-2003 and has been felicitated for "Excellence in Performance" by SNDT University 2002-03-04. She has 3 patents to her credit and few more in the pipeline. Her academic and research career spans over forty years, guiding over sixty M.Pharm and Ph.D research students. During this period, more than 300 papers, publications and presentations including review articles and book chapters have been made. She has been conferred over twenty five awards based on research papers and presentations at National and International seminars and conferences organized by institutions like CRS-IC, IPCA, DIA, CPhI and ACCP. Overall Trophy for the Best Pharmaceutical Research Institution by DIA and awards at National and State level Research Competitions, Avishkar and Anveshan organized by AIU have been bestowed to her research group. She has co-authored three books, "Principles and Applications of Biopharmaceutics and Pharmacokinetics" "Clinical Pharmacy" and "Hospital Pharmacy" with Dr. H.P.Tipnis published by Career Publications. She has widely travelled and also attended International Teachers Training programme at Seneca School of Biological Sciences, Toronto, Canada. She has been member of Academic Council, Ad-hoc Board of Pharmacy and Research and Recognition committees and on the Panel of Examiners of various universities in India.
Dr. Sujata P. Sawarkar
Dr. Sujata P. Sawarkar has been appointed as Associate Professor in Pharmaceutics She has completed her B.Pharm from Principal K. M. Kundanani College of Pharmacy, Mumbai University, M. Pharm. (Quality Assurance) and Ph. D. (Tech) from C.U. Shah College of Pharmacy, S.N.D.T. University, Mumbai. Her area of research work during her Ph.D. Tenure was Targeted Drug Delivery Systems. She has about 10 years of industrial experience in the formulation development and teaching experience of about 3 years. She has presented her research work in 8 national and international conferences. She has 4 publications to her credit including Chapter entitled, "Intraarterial – Intravascular Drug Delivery Systems" in book "Novel and Controlled Drug Delivery System" edited by Prof. N. K. Jain. She is a life member of Indian Pharmaceutical Association.
Mrs. Padmini Ravikumar
Mrs. Padmini Ravikumar, Asst. Professor in Pharmaceutics. She has completed B.Pharm and M.Pharm. (Pharmaceutics) from University Institute of Chemical Technology (UICT). She has over 18 years industrial experience in formulation development including her own venture and teaching experience of over 9 years. She is a recipient of two minor research projects grants from University of Mumbai and has attended a number of seminars and conferences including AICTE sponsored Staff Development Program. She has one publication and three presentations at national and international level to her credit. She is a life member of APTI.
Dr. Tabassum Khan
Dr. Tabassum Khan has been appointed as Asst. Professor in Pharmacy. She has completed her B.Pharm. ,M.Pharm and Ph.D. from C.U. Shah College of Pharmacy, S.N.D.T. University, Mumbai. She has a consolidated work experience of 10 years which includes industry and academia. As a Scientist in Procter & Gamble, she represented India-Technology Team at various Asia-Pacific Regional Technology Meets. She was a part of the task force responsible for delivering consumer noticeable product benefits. She has attended various national and international seminars, conferences and Drug Discovery workshops. She has many national and international publications to her credit in reputed journals. She has presented her research work in many national and international conferences across the globe. She has presented a research paper at the ESF-COST High Level Resesarch Conference on Natural Products – Chemistry & Biology held at Italy in September 2010.
Ms. Vasanti M. Suvarna
Ms. Vasanti Suvarna is Asst. Professor in Pharmacy. She has completed her B.Pharm. and M.Pharm. (Quality Assurance), from C.U. Shah College of Pharmacy, S.N.D.T. University, Mumbai. She has five years of teaching experience. She has worked as a Project Co-ordinator at Vedic Life Sciences for two years. She has published five research papers in journals of national and international repute. She has attended a number of national conferences, seminars, workshops and staff development programmes (AICTE and DST sponsored). She has four national and two international presentations and she is a life member of APTI.
Mrs. Rashmi Mallya
Mrs. Rashmi Mallya, Asst. Professor in Pharmacognosy. She has her B.Pharm and M.Pharm (Pharmacognosy) degree from College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Manipal. She has seven years teaching experience. She has four publications and six presentations at international and national level to her credit. She and is a recipient of Minor research grant form University of Mumbai. She has attended a number of seminars and conference and AICTE sponsored Staff Development Program. She is a life member of APTI.
Dr. Pramod K. Kadu
Dr. Pramod K. Kadu is working as Asst. Professor in Pharmacy. He has completed Ph.D. from NMIMS University, Mumbai in 2011 and Masters in the subject of Biotechnology from Vellore Institute of Technology-(VITU) in 2007. He has worked as a Q.A. Officer in CIPLA Ltd., Pune plant for one year. He has also worked in Nicholas Piramal Research centre, Mumbai for a period of six months. He is mainly teaching the subject of Biotechnology and has four years teaching experience. He has 1 provisional patent to his credit. He has Published 3 research papers in journals of national and international repute. He has received best poster award in an International Conference sponsored by Pune University (March 2009).
Dr. Kedar S. Prabhavalkar
Dr. Kedar S. Prabhavalkar is working as Asst. Professor in Pharmacy. He has completed his PhD from NMIMS University, Mumbai. He was previously working for an MNC as a Scientific Content Editor. He has five years of teaching experience.
Dr. Lokesh Kumar Bhatt
Dr. Lokesh Kumar Bhatt is Assistant Professor at the Department of Pharmacology. Dr. Bhatt is an author and co-author of more than 15 peer-reviewed papers in reputed journals and more than 20 conference proceedings. Dr. Bhatt is also a reviewer in scientific journals of high impact factor. His area of specialization is Diabetes and Cardio Vascular research. He has worked with Torrent Pharmaceutical Ltd. (Research Centre, New Drug Discovery- Pharmacology) for two years. Dr. Bhatt has four years of teaching experience. One of his research papers is featured as one of the Most-Accessed Articles in Indian Journal of Pharmacology. He was awarded Barrie Hesp Award of US $1000 for presenting a paper at Keystone Symposia on Complication of Diabetes and Obesity, 2009, Vancouver, Canada. He was also awarded travel grant for presenting paper at Experimental Biology, 2010, Anaheim, CA, USA by American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics.

Mrs. Apte is working as Asst. Professor in Pharmacy. She has completed her B.Pharm. and M.Pharm. from Mumbai University. Her subject of specialization is Pharmacognosy. She has worked with USV as a Medical Advisor and Indi Pharma as a Brand Manager. She has industrial experience of five years and teaching experience of two years.

Mr. Kale is working as Asst. Professor in Pharmacy. He has completed B. Pharm. and M. Pharm. (Pharmacology) from University of Pune. Mrs. Manisha J. Oza is working as Asst. Professor in Pharmacy. She has completed B.Pharm from L.M. College of Pharmacy, Gujarat University and completed M.Pharm from Institute of Science and Technology for advanced Research, Sardar Patel University, Gujarat. Her subject of specialization is Pharmacognosy. Prior to joining, she has two years of academic experience as a lecturer. Till now she has presented three posters in which one is in international conference and two are in national conferences. She has keen interest on R & D of oncology therapeutic segment.
Dr. Prabha Singh
Dr. Prabha Singh has been appointed as Assistant Professor in Pharmacy. She has completed her B.Pharm from Allana College of Pharmacy, University of Pune, M. Pharm. (Pharmaceutics) from C.L. Baid Mehta College of Pharmacy, Madras Medical University and Ph. D. (Tech) from C.U. Shah College of Pharmacy, S.N.D.T. University, Mumbai. Her area of research work during her Ph.D. Tenure was Novel Drug Delivery Systems. She has worked as Research Scientist in Formulation and Development department (DDS) in Cipla Pvt Ltd. for two years and has over two years of teaching experience at Dr Bhanuben Nanavati College of Pharmacy. She also has Post Graduate Diploma in Patent Law and Practice in Intellectual Property (2012) from SVKM's NMIMS Institute of Intellectual Property Studies, Vile Parle. She has presented 12 papers of her research work in international and national conferences. She has attended a number of seminars. She has received scholarship from Tamilnadu State welfare trust for her research. She is a life member of Indian Pharmaceutical Association.
Mr. Atul P. Sherje
Mr. Atul P. Sherje is working as an Assistant Professor in Quality Assurance. He has done M. Pharm in Quality Assurance from Nagpur University and pursuing Ph. D. in Pharmaceutics from SVKM's NMIMS, Mumbai. He was associated with STES's Sinhgad Institute of Pharmacy, Pune and School of Pharmacy & Technology Manegement, SVKM's NMIMS, Mumbai, as Assistant Professor. He has total 6 years of teaching experience. His area of research includes Development & Validation of Analytical methods and Formulation development. He has received a research grant from BCUD, University of Pune (M.S.) during the year 2006-08. He has presented more than 14 papers at national and international seminars/conferences and published 10 research papers in journals of repute.
Dr. Kavitkumar Patel
Dr. Kavitkumar Patel is working as an Assistant Professor in Pharmaceutical Chemistry. He has completed his B. Pharm in 2006 from Maliba Pharmacy College, Tarsadi, Surat, South Gujarat University and M. Pharm in Medicinal Chemistry in 2008 from University Institute of Chemical Technology (UICT, Mumbai University; Formerly UDCT). He has completed his Ph.D. (Tech.) in Medicinal Chemistry from Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai (ICT, Formerly UDCT) in 2014. He was awarded with Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) from University Grant Commission (UGC), Government of India. He has worked in the area of Drug Discovery and Process Chemistry specially on computer aided drug design (CADD), synthesis and evaluation of antitubercular as well as antibacterial agents. He has published 6 papers in international journals and 1 in national journal. He was awarded travel grant by DST and ICMR to attend Tetrahedron Symposium in Vienna, Austria.
